Using Hajime

These terms apply when you use the Hajime and Hajime Pro apps and this website. If you download Hajime from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard Apple EULA) also applies. If these terms and the Apple EULA disagree, the Apple EULA wins.

You may use Hajime to score bouts and run karate events for your club, association or organisation. Please do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app.

Hajime Pro

Some features need Hajime Pro. Any price, trial or subscription is shown in the app before you buy, and payment, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple account settings.

Officials make the decisions

Hajime is a tool to help officials. The referee panel and the event organiser are responsible for every decision, score, draw, schedule and result, and for checking them. Please keep a backup of your event and have a fallback plan, such as a paper score sheet, in case a device fails or runs out of battery.

Rules and names

Hajime is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the World Karate Federation (WKF). Hajime follows the published WKF rules as closely as it can, but rules change and events may use their own. Check the rules your event uses before you rely on the app.

Your data

Information you enter belongs to you and stays on your devices. You are responsible for having permission to use athletes' information. Our privacy policy explains how Hajime handles it.

Our responsibility

We work hard to make Hajime reliable and correct under the current rules, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, Hajime is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect losses such as a delayed event, lost entry fees or a disputed result.

Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to supplying the app again or refunding what you paid for it.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms when Hajime changes, and will update the date at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Questions: support@gethajime.app.
